IAAPS is a world-leading research centre for advanced propulsion systems, based at the University of Bath. The site needed to reflect the seriousness of the work — authoritative, technically credible, and easy for an academic and industry audience to navigate.

The existing site had grown organically over time and no longer reflected the scale or reputation of the centre. The redesign focused on bringing structure back to the content — clearer navigation, a stronger visual hierarchy, and a presentation that positions IAAPS confidently alongside global research institutions.

Built on Umbraco CMS, the rebuild gives the editorial team full control over news, research programmes, and event listings without depending on development resource for routine updates. The front-end was built to perform well on the technical search terms that drive interest from industry partners and academic collaborators.
